Endless Wardrobe

The lovely and generous Trish recently hosted a fabulous competition that I was lucky enough to win, Yay!!!!

Endless Wardrobe was kind enough to provide the winner with a gift voucher to their online store.

I am so excited and thoroughly confused there is so much to choose from.

I am a huge fan of online shopping, I find it is particularly good on a Friday night when the Footy is on. I can sit next to hubby while he watches and I use my laptop to shop :-)

Long weekend and a winner

We have a long weekend here in NSW for the Queen's Birthday so we are taking advantage of the extra day and we have been playing with concrete.

If you have been around for a while you will remember that just over two years ago we ripped up our back deck that used to look like this

Bit by bit we cleared and levelled other areas in our backyard and used the extra dirt and old pavers, etc to fill in the void below the old deck.

We worked and worked with lots of dirt and rubbish everywhere for weeks

We spent some time researching paving options and in the end decided to make our own using this plastic paving template and concrete. 

It was a much cheaper option and the result was just what we wanted.... rustic. 

We decided early on to go with a rustic and aged style that way any mistakes could be passed off as part of 'the look'

Finally it was all done, you can read more about it here. 

Over the the last two years some of the pavers sunk. We knew this would happen as the dirt underneath compacted further and we knew that the paving would need to be redone.

Fortunately not all of the paving has to be replaced just the area under the pergola where the deck used to be. 

So that is what we have been up to and what we are doing today. It isn't pleasant because it is so cold out there and really, I have no enthusiasm for this project considering we've already done it once before :-(

But it will be nice when it's finished.

Happy Monday to you all, I hope that everyone had a lovely weekend!

We had a busy weekend with a trip to Nowra for a 21st birthday party after soccer on Saturday and then back last night. It was nice to catch up with family and we get to drive through the Southern Highlands and Kangaroo Valley on the way, the views are so beautiful and the houses are amazing!

French Navy

For all of my wonderful friends who were getting over my New Zealand recap I thought I would have a small intermission to bring you this................

Before we left for New Zealand I was the very luck girl who won Kelly Green's giveaway! If you haven't visited Kelly's blog then you should go and say 'Hi'. Click HERE. When we arrived home from our holiday I was so excited to see this gorgeous package. Kelly's giveaway was your choice of a French Navy Stationary Set. This stationary is just divine, the quality is outstanding and it just feels so nice!

There were so many styles to choose from and in the end I stayed with an 'M'. The set comes in this beautiful box (that just feels so nice too) and includes ten note cards with envelopes. I really love this gift and I am still so excited about it! I have this thing for lovely stationary and I buy it and then I can't bring myself to use it because it is just so nice! I am slowly getting better and trying to get over my stationary hoarding!

We have a winner!

Sorry for the late post tonight but it has been a long day ...............

.......any way, I am very excited to announce the winner of my Celebration Giveaway. I used a random number generator and it came up with number 30.

It is finally here, my 100th post! I am not sure if anyone noticed that I even posted twice one day last week in a bid to get to 100 posts in time for the announcement of the winner of my first giveaway.
