As I was driving to work today I noticed that the trees are changing colour and I was reminded of how beautiful Autumn can be and what a wonderful creator we have, to have given us so much beauty in the world to enjoy!
I found some of my favourite Autumn photos.
This one was taken in April 2005 when Nicholas was only 5. That seems like such a long time ago. We had taken his bike (it used to fit in the back of the car) and drove to our soccer field where we have a path running alongside. The path was a great place for Nicholas to practice riding his bike without training wheels.
These next few photos were taken in our City's park in the centre of town. It is a beautiful park all year round. In summer the big trees provide lots of shade and it is always nice and cool in the park. In Autumn the park provides lots of fun for the young kids who love to play in the leaves!
We had these photos taken last year just before Mothers day to use as gifts for our mothers and Grandmothers.
What absolutely gorgeous photos of your family Nellie!! To think I nearly missed this gorgeous post! Our trees here in armidale look like that (well actually most have nearly lost all their leaves now - happened very early this year). Hope you have a fabulous Easter weekend ~ Tina xx

ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favourite season...maybe because we finally get a break from the hot Brisbane weather! Gorgeous images...thanks for sharing them! Happy Easter! Tracey xx
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous photos! I love those autumn colours. I saw this quote recently and I think you will like it too:
ReplyDeleteOur Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in spring-time. (*or autumn)

ReplyDeleteNellie-
ReplyDeleteA beautiful, honest inspiring blog. I also adore Autumn - such a warm and creative season. Your family photos in the park, surrounded by Autumn leaves are gorgeous. I thank you for dropping into my blog, Nellie. Incidentally, Nellie is such a cute, old-fashioned and adorable name. I shall continue to follow you and hear of your daily thoughts. Reading through your blog (and I don't know the ins and outs of your previous situation) but I also was a single mum, or rather married and then separated and like you I have found a second chance at love! I am so happy for you. You sound like you are with a wonderfully supportive man. God bless, regards, Tracey at Velvetine Lily http://velvetinelily.blogspot.com/
