Truthful Tuesday

It is Tuesday again and the lovely Trish informs me that is has been one month since the start of our challenge!

If you happened to have missed some vital information regarding the challenge you can read about it here.

I am once again confessing, though this week I haven't gained weight but I haven't lost any either!

I have a feeling that I need to focus a bit more on doing the right thing!

I really struggle to exercise, getting out of bed earlier in the morning is not very enticing, it's too cold and dark.

By the time I get home from work it is dark and then.... well...... you all know, dinner, homework and exhaustion!

Excuses, excuses! I know : (

I will try harder and next week maybe it will show.

These gorgeous bedroom images are from my inspiration files and unfortunately I do not know where they originally came from. Sorry!

  1. At least it's not a gain! I do the same thing. Will try to make more effort this week too. The warmer weather is coming, I must get motivated! :)

  2. Yeah Simone's right at least it's not a gain - which in winter is easy to do :) I lost weight this last week but only because I had a tummy bug :(
At least the warm weather is coming it makes it easier. I love those inspiration pics they are gorgeous!
    Have a great day Nellie,

  3. Hang in there Nellie. At least you're attempting it (which I'm not and should). Perhaps just one small thing to change this week...drinking more water perhaps? Achievable, doesn't require getting out of bed and going out into the cold! I will if you will!! From tomorrow, 1 litre of water a day...what do you reckon?

  5. Hang in there Nellie.
I agree with Kerry. I started drinking lots of water and lost weight - go figure. Nothing else changed ie food intake, exercise (or lack of). Might be worth a try.

  6. Hey Nellie, you didn't go backwards you maintained so thats good. The girls are right small changes make all the difference. It takes 3 weeks to form or change a habit. First start with drinking extra water, in a few days try replacing lunch time cookies with some fruit & every 3 days try changing somthing small. I have a few exercise dvd's to do when its to cold to get out. Coming from Lithgow I fully understand the cold & darkness being a problem. Keep up the awesome work!!!

  7. Hi Nellie, I think you are doing a great job considering it is still freezing cold in Orange and all you want is some comfort food! Keep at it, it is starting to slowly warm up and you are going to look fabulous for summer! :-)

  8. Hey Nellie, don't be too hard on yourself. At least you are doing something - I was supposed to start exercising but haven't even managed to find time for that. Like how Trish is saying to take small steps - I'm going to start with the extra water tomorrow. Thanks for the lovely images. Hang in there. Michelle

  10. I hear ya Nellie, I'm not very good with exercise routines myself. I wish I love it like so many people do. I do a lot of walking while out shopping, does that count? lol!

  16. You'll get there..it takes a while for something to become a habit. The only way I can exercise is by having a treadmill in the house. If I had to go out, I just wouldn't get there, with two little ones! Rachaelxx

The sun will be coming your way before you know it and you will have those long summer days to shake it all out...

You will get there...I am sure :)

  18. Hey, cheer up!!!

Excuses is one thing, doing something about it is something different!!

SO, if exercise is what's got you down, change the way you eat!!
Take a walk, park the car further away from the stores, take the stairs... you'll see, it will all start coming off!

My vote is changing the food intake, smaller portions and more greenery!

GOOD LUCK! DON'T STRESS OUT, we are all rooting for you!

  19. Hi Nellie,
I hear you... it is so hard to put in the extra time to exercise when you have all that other stuff going on in life. At least you're still trying. I gave up on exercising a couple of years ago for the same reasons that you gave. I know... excuses, excuses. ;o) I wish you all the luck with it. Try not to be too hard on yourself. :)
Love the beautiful inspirational photos. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
    ~ Jo :)
