I love a white lounge
*
I love how a basic white lounge creates a great platform from which to decorate
*
I love how you can add any accent colour you like to white and it looks good
*
I love how you can switch your soft furnishings and accessories to suit the season
*
I love black and white
*
I love a room filled with natural tones
*
I love how a great rug can make a room come together
*
I love how a white lounge looks in a room painted with bold colours
*
*
What do you think?

I hope you have all had a great week and that your weekend is fabulous!

I have made so many white linen slipcovers (for myself, rellies and friends) I can't believe everyone doesn't have them already! Super easy to look after through red wine, animals and chocolate biscuits. Never without them...
ReplyDeleteI love that you call them "lounges"! I've never heard them called that and it sounds so much better than "couches". I love them in white, too.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a white lounge but if I ever get my current ones new slipcovers, I'm thinking that will be what I do. Great rooms you've found us Nellie. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like white couches/lounges but I do get a little tired of the canine paw prints that always find their way there. At least they can be thrown in the washing machine.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend Nellie!
The fourth pic is my fave. I would like to have white sofas though they would be dirty in two seconds (which would drive me mad) and I'm afraid I don't love doing laundry enough to be washing slipcovers every other day!
ReplyDeleteLeather in white doesn't have the same appeal for me so I think I'll stick with dirt colour sofas for now :-)

A white couch is a perfect starter to your decor. I love that you can throw any colour at it and it will always look good. Enjoy your weekend Nellie. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the look Nellie and the pics are all lovely. But slip covers or not white just wont cut it in this house with 2 vegemite sticky fingered boys. But there's always a chance when I'm 60 and they've moved out of home!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

I wish! (sigh)...
ReplyDeleteThey're lovely, Nellie :)
Very beautiful Nellie !!!
ReplyDeleteyes well with 2 bubs under 3yrs, all I can say is "if only"...
ReplyDeleteI love white too, but with 2 children and a dog .... my white must be leather. One day I hope to be able to have fabric again. Love the 'black and white' image. Have a great weekend. Michelle
ReplyDeleteisn't it amazing how a wonderful white couch works great everywhere?
ReplyDeletegreat images...
Karen
You are so right nellie, what a lovely post! I so wish I could have white... I did once before and ended up regretting it. (with little boys in the house it just didnt work!!!) Have fun this weekend with your renovations!! lots of love, Lauraxxx
ReplyDeleteLove them all so much....but they don't work in my house even the grown ups manage to spill stuff, cheers Katherine
ReplyDeleteFab post Nellie, I'm a big fan of the old white sofa myself... I would love to get one when we return from travelling, as the girls are a bit older now and they are pretty good about 'respecting our belongings'. Can you tell I have used that phrase a few times before?? hehe
ReplyDeleteThe pics with the black and white scheme are my favourite.. timeless!
Have a great weekend :)
