A few weeks ago my WH surprised me with this lovely easel. I have been admiring them for ages!
I am not really much of an artist but I like to pretend and if I never paint another work of art I can just use my easel for displaying the artwork I already have!
The easel folds up and has a drawer with a handle that makes the whole unit portable. I dream of packing my paints and canvases and heading off to a beautiful spot to create.
The canvas sitting on the easel is one of my WH's photos
I have been sick all weekend and am home sick today, so I am attempting to rest up and get rid of this head cold!
xx
Hiya Nellie....!
ReplyDelete*** shhhhhhh....I'm on my lunch break *** hahahahaha....LOVE your easel AND the piece you have sitting on it.... :o) !!
With the portability it offers you should be able to pick that baby up no worries & head to the south of France for a spot of Sunday painting.... ** sigh ** Now wouldn't THAT be heaven....!
Cheers from Melbourne CBD,
Tamarah :o)
Came from Tamarah's blog, love that easel! Lezlee

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovley gift from hubby. Love his photo.
ReplyDeleteI have a question for you about photography. If you make prints or a canvas like this, so you sign them like you would if it was a painted or sketched piece? I am wanting to make a couple of prints as gifts, and I had no idea.
I love the shape of easels in decorating. They are so interesting. Hope you are feeling better soon.

ReplyDeleteAwww Nellie, I hope you feel better! The easel is beautiful and is a great way to display any art... best part is you can change it out without having to drive more nails through your walls :0
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better today!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous present. So thoughtful! Something you can enjoy for the rest of your life.
I received my easel from the mother of a good friend when I was 12 and I still have it. In fact since I had my own kids I work as a professional artist and use my easel every day. I love every stain of paint on it and will treasure it for ever.

I hope you feel better very soon Nellie dear! I LOVE your new easel, I've got one but it's no where near as cool as yours and it's got paint splatters all over it which doesn't look nice. Enjoy your lovely gift!

I also love the paint although I am not necessarily the greatest Picasso. What a great gift! An easel has been on my wish list for a while now, but I think if I actually had one it would sit there and display a half painted canvas for a very long time.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the easel will provide much inspiration for all that creativity. Hope you're feeling a little chirpier today. Take care. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous gift, feel better soon!xx
