White Lounges
Monday, March 1, 2010
I shopped around the house to see what I could find that may work but the table I had that I thought may work in this spot was too wide and I didn't have anything else suitable. I tried stacking old apple crates that I have and books with a large vase on top but I wasn't happy with any of it. The room is not very big and I didn't want anything jutting out in front of the TV cabinet. Finally I remembered I had some wall stickers left over from the entry mirror so I decided to give those a go.
What do you think? I like it better than it was but I am not sure if the new decals are too thick for the writing?
Looking at the room overall the decals tie in with the ones on the mirror so it creates continuity.
I would love to hear your opinion, should the decals stay or go?

New Lounge Dilemma
I love the white slip covered lounges, they look nice and they are comfortable and practical. The slipcovers come off, get thrown in the wash and voila, nice and clean again. I think white or off white is easier to maintain than a coloured fabric because you can soak them if they get stained and hang them out in the sunshine to dry. Colours aren't so easy, the colour fades and can look old and worn quickly.
Anything I have found that is similar and is available in Australia is either very expensive and not in our budget or the size of the lounge and armchair are too big. We don't have a lot of space in our living room and if we opt for a large lounge and arm chairs we will make the room feel very crowded.
W.H likes the look and style of these.....
