My Weekend, My house and a Winner.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I had a busy weekend but is was fantastic.

We had a lovely dinner with my sister and her hubby on Friday night. I love that they are living closer to us now and we can catch up for dinner and I love being able to see my nephews more often too.

My friends Bridal Shower was held on Saturday and I had the pleasure of decorating the event. It was so much fun and was a great reminder of how blessed I am to be able to do what I love!

I will share some photos of the shower later this week.

I had a lovely evening catching up with some friends from high school on Saturday night for dinner.

Thanks girls! xx

Yesterday we visited one of my favourite towns, Mudgee NSW. We went to watch the NRL City v's Country match and even though I am not a huge fan. I love doing things with hubby, he is my best friend and I love seeing him happy (unfortunately when his team loses that is a totally different story)!
It was also great to spend the afternoon with my brother in law, his gorgeous girlfriend and our son Nicholas of course!

We had dinner at the Indian Restaurant Rajarani in Mudgee before we headed home and if you are ever in Mudgee, try it I highly recommend it.

A big 'Hello' & 'Welcome' to my blog for all of my new readers and followers. Thank you for taking the time to visit and for all of your wonderful supportive and encouraging comments. It really makes my day to read them and please feel free to email me if you have any questions or if there is anything I can help you with.

Thank you to everyone for your support with my new online store and for entering my giveaway. The $100 gift voucher was won by Ness Sandry who liked and shared on Face Book

Congratulations Ness and happy shopping.

I will be having regular giveaways here and on Facebook so please pop by often to see what is on offer.

There are lots of lovely gift ideas in my store and if there is something in particular you are looking or that I don't have please drop me a line and I will see what I can do to find it for you!

The photos are of a corner of my house that changes often. It is a great spot to display things I love and a particularly good spot for keeping fresh flowers. They are highly visible and also protected from direct sunlight and heat which helps them last longer!

The mirror and the blanket box are both projects that I have never shared. I have painted both of them and I am sure I took before photos. I will try find them and show you the difference, I love a good before and after!

Have a great Monday!

The last of Mudgee for now & the Giveaway

So we whizzed around Mudgee in our cute little car

Not this one,

ours is a Holden Viva,

little and cute but not flash by any means

We enjoyed all the sights

I thought this skirt was so adorable

but not really something I would wear

so I just appreciated the work

that would have gone into making it!

We discovered this lovely little antique store

I loved this trike,

I can imagine it in the garden

with some potted plants on the back

Would've loved to take this desk home for Nicholas' room

but unfortunately it wouldn't fit into our little car

and finally for the giveaway,

you may have spotted me with this fabulous Tote Bag.

I loved it and I bought one for you too!

If you would like a chance to win it

1) leave a comment on this post for one entry

2) For an additional entry become a follower

and leave a comment or if you are already a follower

leave a comment to let me know

3) or you can blog about the giveaway

or add it in your side bar &

leave me a comment for another chance to win.

The Food, wine and beer.

Mudgee really has some fantastic places to eat and to drink,

I couldn't indulge in the wines so I indulged in the food : )

First food stop was the Cobb & Co Court for lunch,

great food and great setting.

They have accommodation as well, it looks nice,

we have considered staying there

but I worry that it could be noisy later at night.

For dinner on Friday night we went to Roth's Wine Bar.

It was fantastic.

The weather was lovely so we sat out side

and ate our wood fired pizza & listened to live music.

No photos, sorry, but you can check it out here.

Saturday morning coffee was at Alleycats Coffee House,

gorgeous spot to sit and relax.

Coffee was good too!

Lunch was at the Mudgee Brewing Co,

great steak sandwich

and hubby enjoyed the beer tasting.

After Lunch we visited Huntington Estate

I think hubby really enjoyed having a designated driver

that was happy to chauffeur him around for the afternoon.

Dinner on Saturday night was at Sajo's,

the meal was lovely and the service was fantastic.

Highly recommended. More here.

Before we left Mudgee on Sunday we made one more food

We had coffee

We tasted cheese

and we bought some gifts and cheese to take home!

On our way home we detoured through

Gulgong (31klms from Mudgee)

and had lunch at the Muse Brasserie.

Once again it was delicious and I highly recommend a visit

to Gulgong if you are every near by it is a lovely little town .

I know it sounds like all we did was eat

but I assure you I had a nap every day

and we did some shopping

I have some pics of the Markets to share with you next time

as well as my little giveaway.

I hope I am not boring you with our weekend away.

Amazing how long I can drag it out for!

B & B Bliss

Unfortunately I am not usually a breakfast eater

and haven't been since my teenage years

but when your breakfast gets made for you

and it looks as good as this I can make an exception.

I love the character of older houses,

but I don't like that most of them are very dark inside

I also like antiques

but sometimes I think you can overdo the amount of stuff

you have on display and combined with a dark house and

dark paint and dark curtains it can all be a bit much.

But I can appreciate the beauty of each item

and I thought you would too.

My favourite feature was this display of bird prints

The painting below was very hard to photograph

and show the true colours

due to the apricot walls and ceiling casting a warm glow

Oh and I love these old doors

and how they incorporated them into the outdoor area

There was certainly a lot to admire at Beverly House,

next time I'll share some pics from around Mudgee

and I also have the little giveaway coming up.
