I have always admired the gorgeous clay tags
I finally got around to making some myself
I worked on them a bit more last night and was so excited to share them that I used my phone to take some pics!
Excuse the quality of the photos, it was dark and I was tired.
Some are for me
Some are for gifts
I want to personalise these star ones to use as place tags for our Christmas lunches
That way everyone will know where to sit and they will have something special to take home and use on the tree next year!
What do you think?
Ness has no worries about me taking over her business
but I am happy with the way they turned out.
xx

Well done Nellie. I purchased some from Ness. Wish I had some time to have a go. Maybe some table setting tags in the new year for the guests. You should be very proud of yourself.

Hi Nellie! Believe it or not, I was surfing around the net looking for instructions on how to make those darling clay tags and I fell in to your beautiful blog! :)
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me more about how you made them? What type of clay did you use? Do you have to bake them? What did you use for a round form? What did you use for the pretty black lettering? Do you letter it before you bake it or after?
lol! I know....lots of questions, but I would really love to make some of these for family Christmas gifts this year. I had previously purchased some "love you" tags from marleyandlockyer and just love them to bits! But I also knew that there HAD to be an easy way of making them for myself. :)
Any help or advice you could give me would be soooo appreciated! Thanks - and I'm your newest follower! :)
xoxo laurie
They look great - it's a perfect gift and decoration!
ReplyDeleteOh way to go girlfriend :) They look fab! xo
ReplyDeleteSo CLEVER! I wonder if you gave them a coat of spray clear matte finish and then do the pen thing that might help? I've run into that kind of problem before too.
ReplyDeleteWarm blessings,
Spencer
wow ! great pictures!
